Dilution stability
Dilution stability of aqueous solutions (CIPAC MT 41) is tested to ascertain whether products diluted in water are stable on dilution, without precipitation or flocculation, to ensure spray solutions are homogeneous and will not block spray nozzles. The product is diluted to the maximum intended concentration standard water at 30°C. At 30 minutes, the appearance of any separation or sediment is described; the solution is then poured through a 45µm sieve and the residue on the sieve quantified.
