Crop disintegration time studies
Disintegration time (CIPAC MT 197) determines how completely a water-soluble or water-dispersible tablet disintegrates in water so that the formulation is readily dispersed and does not block equipment during use. A tablet is placed in a standard water, stirred gently, and passed through a 2000 µm sieve; disintegration is complete if no residue remains on the sieve. The test is performed both before and after storage, and maximum disintegration time is reported.
