The San Diego unit has been conducting clinical studies in the area for over 15 years, opening the current 36-bed facility in 2005 as a purpose-built research facility. Originally founded as The San Diego Endocrine and Medical Clinic, this flagship clinic now occupies a 16,000 square foot medical facility dedicated to both early phase and late phase clinical research. In addition to healthy normal populations, the site conducts studies in arthritis, asthma, allergy, diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. The San Diego clinic also conducts dQT studies. Our bilingual recruitment and medical staff are able to serve the Hispanic portion of our extensive database of over 13,000 active volunteers.
Women's Health Studies
The Covance San Diego site has extensive experience in women's health studies including: contraception, sexual dysfunction, HRT, and osteoporosis. Our team of experts is skilled in the use of DEXA scanners, mammography, ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound, and pap / endometrial biopsy. |
