Environmental Fate
Within the past decade the acceptability of new agrochemicals has become dominated by their environmental behavior. Regulations and legislation on pesticides in water, especially within the EU, have resulted in more testing of the degradation and leaching of pesticides in soil and in natural water environments.
Covance is in a position to design studies on a case-by-case basis depending on the product, use pattern and major countries of importance and, if required, hold prior discussions with the appropriate Regulatory Authority before a program of work is finalized. Where possible, combined protocols can be offered to provide global acceptability.
