Animal Metabolism
Covance performs a wide range of in vivo and in vitro metabolism studies ranging from preliminary investigations of bioaccumulation sites to elucidation of complex metabolic pathways.
Such studies address worldwide guidelines for agrochemical registration, re-registration and defense.
In vivo studies, using a wide range of dosing routes, are performed in appropriate species of laboratory animals and livestock to determine the kinetic disposition and metabolic fate of radiolabeled xenobiotics.
In vitro studies include work with sub-cellular fractions, cell lines/suspensions, organ perfusion, gastrointestinal absorption and skin penetration using both animal and human skin. |
