Since 1986, Covance Central Laboratory Services has been providing global clinical trial laboratory services for oncology trials. With operations servicing six continents, Covance has the global reach and capacity to manage oncology studies of all sizes in all areas of the world.
We offer the following services to support oncology clinical trials:
- Flow cytometric capabilities for leukemia/lymphomas as well as solid tumors
- Consistent global tumor marker methods to facilitate statistical comparisons

Cardiovascular Expertise
Covance has all the resources you need to fulfill the components of your cardiovascular study. We offer the following laboratory services for cardiovascular clinical trials:
- Centers for Disease Control (CDC)-certified lipid testing
- Direct measurement of lipid fractions including ultracentrifugation
- Serum and urine catecholamines
- Humoral factors such as renin, angiotensin, kinins, prostaglandins, endorphin
- Cardiac-related bio-markers such as atrial naturietic peptide, brain naturietic peptide, markers of inflammation and other research-related tests
- Consistent methods for myocardial infarction such as Troponin I and CK-MB
- Rapid turnaround time for study drug if needed for dosing or for toxicity assessment
- Electrophoretic and immunochemical method for CK isoenzyme separation for analysis of elevated total CK results
- Coagulation factor analysis including Factor V Leiden, Von Willebrand factor, Protein C, Protein S, Factor VII, and others looking for factor function or factor antigen, by EIA, timed result or PCR
- Reporting of Prothrombin time by seconds or INR
- Coagulation-related factors including prothrombin fragment 1.2, tissue plasminogen activator, plasminogen, Antithrombin III, various coagulation inhibitors.
