Special Chemistry
Our special chemistry department provides testing using a variety of methodologies and specimen types. Methods include nephelometry for specific serum proteins (CRP, immunoglobulins), spectrophotometry (urine chemistries, drugs of abuse), ultracentrifugation (lipid fractionation), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and electrophoresis (isoenzymes, serum proteins). Analytes include those important to lipid research (LDL-cholesterol, LPa, triglycerides, HDL-cholesterol, NEFA and others), catecholamines, drugs of abuse, acute phase reactant proteins (hsCRP), and those associated with specific pathology (multiple myeloma). If pharmacokinetics testing is required, our sister facilities in the United States and Europe can shorten your turnaround times and lower your costs by receiving the shipments directly from the sites, and electronically providing the results so you can evaluate them faster. |
