Hematology
All Covance Central Laboratory Services laboratories use identical hematology automation. In addition to routine complete blood counts (CBCs), the hematology department is responsible for urinalysis, reticulocytes, cytokines and cell surface markers by flow cytometry, hemoglobin A1c testing, and peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) processing. Special attention is paid to manual differentials required by oncology studies. Since the majority of these analytes are required for patient safety and have short stability, Covance Central Laboratory Services provides same-day testing and maintains on-call laboratory personnel available 24/7. |
