Our global automated kit production line is located in the United States and supplies kits to investigator sites in North America, South America and Europe. The automated kit production line produces higher quality kits and improves kit delivery times to sites. The automated system also allows flexibility to expand kit production volume more quickly than a manual kit-building process. In addition, this automated production line uses consistent and standard materials, reducing supply variation and improving supply management for our study sponsors. Investigator sites in Asia and South Africa are supplied visit-specific kits through our manual kit production facilities in Europe and Southeast Asia.
Covance visit-specific kits produced on our automated kit production line are shipped via our preferred relationships with the best couriers in the industry. Our automated kit production facility currently averages over 105,000 kits built per month with the capacity to build over 175,000 kits each month.
Visit-Specific Collection Kits
Covance visit-specific specimen collection kits and requisitions are customized for your protocol to contain:
- Supplies the investigator will need to collect specimens and return them to us, such as test tubes, pipettes, syringes and other required materials
- Instructions for collection and shipping
- Visit-specific reminders for investigators
- Validated dosing information to ensure protocol compliance.

Our kits receive the highest approval rating by investigators since each kit contains the specific materials needed for each patient visit. We include within each visit-specific kit a requisition form that provides the investigator with detailed instructions on how to collect the specimens and ship them back to Covance. |
